RTCC under 11’s put up a valiant display against a very disciplined Hinckley side at Ashby Road Sports Club.

Ratby bowled really well keeping the total to a minimum, each bowler with at least one scalp with 2 deputies Joseph Drury bowling superbly taking one wicket in his 2nd over and Thomas Dodd bravely catching from his own delivery, Murphy Cadle with another consistent performance behind the stumps and an all round fantastic fielding display by the whole team, especially Evan Wrightam heroic dive stopping a certain boundary left Ratby chasing 251.

In reply Noah and Evan setting Ratby on there way with a 27 partnership without loss, next up was a valiant debut display from Joseph and Thomas the latter with a superb pull shot for 4, Oscar and Murphy stepped up and continued to push with 19 for no wickets, some superb bowling from Hinckley kept the last pair, Tom Geary and Will Chicks scoring to a minimum with Ratby falling just shy at 231

Some valuable experience gained for a very young team and I’m sure they will all learn from tonight’s game Well played Hinckley and We go again next week against Ashby Hastings.
